Messy Games

ok so we did this inside of an empty room. i spent the entire day tarping down the room with painters tarps and duct tape.

the first game we played was to shoot q-tips dipped in food coloring at a leader wearing a target on his shirt (we used a white shirt and drew a target on it and put in points such as 1/3, 2.467, 5-1...etc.), kids were divided up into two teams (each team given a different bowl of food colored water), each kid was given five q-tips and a straw. after all the q-tips were shot points were added accordingly (although it really didnt matter).

the next game we played was to select three girls and three guys, the girls then gave the guys new hair styles via shaving cream.

after that we played a game where the kids selected a partner and it was their job to feed their partner a jar of baby food but they had to do that laying down head to head, feet pointing in opposite directions.

then we played a game of twister, this was by far the messiest part of all. first i made a board using shaving cream to outline it. then used blue food coloring in cool whip for the blue, pasta sauce for the red, jam and corn for the yellow, and peas for the green. i then wrote twister with ketchup on the bottom.

set up is definately a lot on this one so we had it set up before club and just played the other games in the area surrounding it. we just played it as a regular game of twister with the catch being how slippery it was.

after all the kids had either fallen or been pushed over by their leaders (mainly me...i'm kind of mean like that) we played a game of tug-o-war.

clean up was relatively simple, we just sent kids home in garbage bags and rolled up all the tarps. we played this inside because in germany its cold outside but if you play outside you could just hose down kids and the area played in.

Interesting concept... How often do you do these messy games?

How did you get the youth out of the building without staining the floors and walls?
